JV-PostMaster - Configure Modules

Please follow the steps below to configure the modules in JV-PM extension suite:

Twitter Module Configuration:

This module will display the latest n number of tweets of a chosen Twitter account in the module

  • Login to Joomla administrator panel and go to Extensions -> Module Manager
  • Click on "JV-PM Show Tweets from your Twitter Account" module or the module with type mod_jvpmtwitter
  • Set "Enabled" to Yes
  • Provide a nice title and set "Show Title" to Yes
  • Select the module position where you want to publish the module
  • Select the menu items or pages in which this module will appear
  • Select the twitter account in the next option from the dropdown list. Twitter account must already be added to JV-PM, before you can fetch its updates
  • You can then decide, if you want to display tweet posted time, profile image, reply link in the display for every tweet
  • You can also set the number of tweets that will be fetched and displayed.
  • You can also select if you want to display your tweets only, or retweets and your friends' tweets as well in the module
  • In the advanced configuration, you may also provide the duration for caching the module output

Important note: You must clear the module cache from JV-PM accounts screen in admin backend, if you edit the "Number of tweets" parameter or "Show retweets and my friends tweets?" parameter values

Facebook Module Configuration:

This module has been deprecated in JV-PostMaster v3.7.1, in favor of widgets & plugins provided by Facebook

This module will display the latest n number of posts of a chosen Facebook account in the module

  • Login to Joomla administrator panel and go to Extensions -> Module Manager
  • Click on "JV-PM Show Updates from your Facebook Account" module or the module with type mod_jvpmfacebook
  • Set "Enabled" to Yes
  • Provide a nice title and set "Show Title" to Yes
  • Select the module position where you want to publish the module
  • Select the menu items or pages in which this module will appear
  • Select the facebook account profile/page/group as you want. Facebook account must already be added to JV-PM, before you can fetch its updates
  • You can also set the number of updates, that will be fetched and displayed.
  • In the advanced configuration, you may also provide the duration for caching the module output

Important note: You must clear the module cache from JV-PM accounts screen in admin backend, if you edit the "Number of updates" parameter. 


Important Points to Note:

  • Twitter and Facebook have restrictions on the maximum number of daily requests that can be made to the accounts. JV-PM uses caching system, to ensure that this limit is not reached.
  • Module cache can be cleared by visiting your JV-PM accounts section in JV-PM admin backend
